So it seems like the South is heating up with a high-tech boom of its own, rivaling Silicon Valley and Silicon Alley. Can we dub this as a Silicon rally rising from another economic downturn? (Rim shot. Okay air ball on that moniker.)
I just read in the Atlanta Business Chronicle that Twitter is setting up a data center in Atlanta, (the second largest one in the world according to the author, Urvaksh Karkaria,) and that start-ups are spreading South in The Atlantic. (Hmm, and that author’s last name is Florida.)
I enjoyed working in start-ups and digital media companies so I’m encouraged by the growth of start-ups here, especially when Atlanta comes dead-last in job creation out of all metropolitan cities since last year.
And I absolutely love Twitter.
